A few years ago, while working on comic pages of another one of my stories, I felt overwhelmed, disheartened, and frustrated. Then I met two fantastic professional artists that caught my eye in an online forum. Leandro Sandoval’s expressive lines and Gabriel Roldan’s lush colors were exactly what I dreamt of. Lucky for me, they loved my concept art and adventurous storytelling, we’ve been working on Imps together ever since.

With nearly 30 years of professional graphic design experience and a lifetime of creativity and motivation, I added the artful lettering and final layout for print. Hiring these two talents I now call friends allows me to focus on being a creator and art director without being overwhelmed by producing a consistent and timely series all on my own.

I would like to thank all my friends and family who’ve contributed to my dream with their belief in me and their financial support. Without their help, this dream wouldn’t be coming true.

More than thirty years ago a friend showed me his quirky cartoon sculpy figures resting on a dusty wooden shelf above his desk. I was so inspired by his creativity and the fact I couldn’t stop coming up with stories in my head that I invented my own set of characters/creatures and started writing stories about these little imps and their personalities. I began to dream about where and when they lived, their hobbies, their motivations and distractions, and their bright colors and abilities. I even went as far as writing an animated screenplay and drawing many sketchbooks full of character features and notes, in hopes of becoming a feature film. But in my heart, I always knew I wanted Imps to be a comic.
